Fraser James was founded in 1999. Based in Northamptonshire, the company has grown substantially over the years and has established itself as a leading light in the bespoke handmade furniture industry having completed numerous projects in and around the UK and overseas.
We have built a glowing reputation for our communication skills and our service and reliability are second to none. We always go the extra mile.
All the furniture we produce is bespoke and handmade so we don’t name our style, we employ highly skilled furniture designers and cabinet makers enabling us to produce traditional, contemporary, or even futuristic furniture which can be creatively styled as you wish leaving no limits to your imagination.

OUR FOUNDER
In 1999 Pete founded Fraser James in a small barn and with his knowledge, dedication and work ethic, grew the company to where it is today. Fraser James now boast a beautiful,13,000sqft headquarters with an unrivalled, first floor showroom. With over 40 years’ experience in bespoke handmade furniture, Pete prides himself on the team he has built and the great working environment he has created. Fraser James has an amazing record of long serving staff members and an excellent apprenticeship programme. Living closely by the company ethos ‘You’re only as good as your workforce’.
OUR PROJECT MANAGERS
With over 35 years’ experience in Joinery and Construction, our Project Manager John joined Fraser James in 2009 after working alongside Pete on a multitude of projects. Since joining, John’s wealth of experience has ensured the seamless completion of many major projects across the UK and overseas in countries such as America, Antigua and Italy. With limitless expertise and excellent industry connections, John will secure a hassle-free project whatever the client needs may be.
With over 40 years’ experience, Mark has a strong background working in a wide variety of trades, including furniture making, construction, fitting and project management. It is this foundation that allows him to ensure that all client needs are understood and fulfilled flawlessly. Mark’s vast industry connections coupled with his professional and reliable attitude enables him to offer clients a premium and comprehensive service.
OUR WORKSHOP FOREMAN
Having joined us as a competent joiner back in 2003, Tom soon moved up the ranks to become our workshop foreman. Now, with over 25 years’ experience in joinery, Tom’s ability and knowledge in the workshop is second to none. Tom’s work ethic and attention to detail ensures all of our wonderful furniture leaves the workshop in pristine condition.
OUR OFFICE TEAM
Our office manager Claire is always ready to assist with all your enquiries and act as your primary point of contact regarding all things associated with your account, however Claire is always on hand to assist with all aspects of your project. Having joined us back in 2018, Claire is committed to providing our customers with the best service possible and is a huge integral part of the FJ team.
Charlotte joined Fraser James back in 2012 as our Office Junior and is now our Project Coordinator. Working closely with our Project Managers John & Mark, Charlotte is on hand ready to assist and advise with any of your project queries and needs. Charlotte also takes care of our Social media platforms, ensuring to keep everyone up to date with our latest projects and behind the scenes action.
